A YOUNG musician from Hereford has been handed a place at the number one music school in the county.
Talented musician Keeley Taylor has been offered a place at Chetham's School of Music in Manchester for sixth form.
The school produced the youngest ever winner of the BBC young musician of the year award in 2008, and Miss Taylor has set her sights on achieving great success.
Miss Taylor, who is currently working towards grade eight in viola, clarinet, and piano, as well as grade seven in singing, recently won performer of the year at the HPA Festival, which is ran by Encore Enterprises to give an opportunity for performers of all ages and abilities to share their talents.

She was inspired with music whilst at St Pauls' Primary School before moving onto Hereford Cathedral School, after a brief year at the Bishop of Hereford's Bluecoat School, where her music talent developed.
She plays in many orchestras including the English Symphony Youth Orchestra and Hereford Youth Orchestra.
She will specialise in viola and clarinet as first study, while continuing her piano and singing development, as well as A-levels in music, music technology and drama, and hopes to pursue a career in music.
Opportunity to play in chamber groups, choirs and high-profile concerts will also be in place for her during her time, which is funded by the government's music and dance scheme.

Miss Taylor has recently performed for the new Hereford mayor's inauguration and has concerts in the Millennium Centre Cardiff, Musicfest in Aberystwyth and Eisteddfod choir of the year coming up in the next few months.
"Thank you to everybody who has inspired me and supported me in my music career so far," said Miss Taylor.
