ROADS around two Herefordshire summer events will have temporary speed limits for safety reasons.

Herefordshire Council said that there would be 30mph limit on roads around El Dorado festival at Eastnor Castle.

Those new limits for the A449 at Massington and the A438 at Eastnor would be in force for six days from June 30.

The public notice from the council said the limits would slow traffic while more vehicles were using the roads during the music festival.

Similarly, the A465 and B4214 near Bromyard would also have 30mph limits for the duration of the Bromyard Gala.

The limits would be in force from June 23 for five days as the steam rally and country show goes ahead at the Burgess farm in Avenbury.

“The said restriction is required due to slowing traffic whilst Bromyard Gala event is in progress and the likelihood of danger to the public while traffic volumes are increased,” the public notice from Herefordshire Council said.
