A HEREFORD running club led a search as people become increasingly worried for missing woman Janet Edwards.

Wye Valley Runners met in Churchill Gardens, at the top of Aylestone Hill, on Thursday to search for Ms Edwards, 66, who has been missing since Friday (December 10).

Chairman of the Hereford Leisure Centre-based club Martin Flowers said the disappearance was very out of character for her.

On Thursday, Detective Inspector Cath Taylor said: "We are increasingly concerned about the welfare of Janet.

"She is a fit and healthy lady and keen runner whose disappearance is completely out of character.

"She is a well-known and liked member of the Herefordshire community having served for our NHS.

"I would like to thank our public in Herefordshire and beyond for their continued support with this investigation and sharing our appeals along with those who have been searching tirelessly of their own accord."
