AN award-winning country lodge near Ludlow opened its doors to raise funds for a local school.
Old Downton Lodge was raising funds for Wigmore Primary School by holding nature walks and serving cream teas in its courtyard garden.
It was the first time for many to have a glimpse of what lies behind the building's stone walls.
There were also three mapped walking routes of varying levels of difficulty during the open day which will take place on Sunday.
Funds raised will go towards a circus skills workshop for the students at the school.
