LUCTONIANS start their National League 2 North programme this weekend.
The Kingsland side – who are coached by Ryan Watkins and Mike Hill – have a tough opening two games, with new boys Sheffield away their first test tomorrow.
Lucs go into this Saturday's encounter on the back of a narrow 26-24 defeat to Birmingham Solihull in their final pre-season friendly.
"We know they're a new team to the league, so it will be a tough test, but if we put the same amount of effort in as we did against Birmingham last week, then I'm pretty confident we will get a good result," said Watkins.
"We finished the second half last week really strongly and I'm happy with the squad at present."
