ENGLAND secured their first win at the IBSA World Blind Football Championship in Hereford last night.
Tony Larkin’s men bounced back from the opening-day defeat against Spain to record a hard-fought 2-1 win over South Korea.
Goals from Jonathan Gribbin and Dave Clarke gave England the win in front of a capacity crowd at the Royal National College in Venns Lane.
Clarke is a trustee at the Royal National College.
England are back in action tonight (Tuesday) when they face Japan in a Group A match which kicks off at 7pm.
In other results yesterday, Spain beat Colombia 2-0, while Brazil won 1-0 against France and Argentina recorded a 3-0 triumph over Greece.
The schedule of today’s matches (Tuesday): France v Greece 1pm, Spain v South Korea 3pm, Argentina v China 5pm and ENGLAND v Japan 7pm.
The final is taking place on Sunday at 3pm.
