BIKE ace Chaz Davies' bid to become World Superbike champion for the first time starts in earnest this weekend.
Davies, from Kinsham, is one of the favourites to win the crown having been runner-up last year.
The first race gets underway in Philip Island, Australia, this Sunday and Davies is priced at 8/1 to win the Championship, behind reigning champion Jonathan Rea (7/4) and Tom Sykes (5/2).
Testing at the track took place this week, which included Davies taking a heavy fall.
However, the Ducati race escaped relatively unharmed and is all set for the first meeting.
