Westfields manager Danny Janes admitted his side only had themselves to blame after being held to a frustrating 1-1 draw at bottom-of-the-table Cribbs despite creating enough chances to win the game comfortably.
The Hereford side missed the opportunity to claim a third successive Hellenic League Premier Division victory after wasting a host of opportunities in Bristol, with Cribbs picking up their first point in six matches.
Westfields dominated possession for long periods but struggled to make their superiority count.
Bailey Fuller fired over after a neat one-two with Reiss Taylor-Randle in the opening stages before James Baldwin's excellent wing play created the best chance of the first half, only for Fuller to side-foot over from six yards.
Cribbs offered little attacking threat before the break, although goalkeeper Matt Gwynne was called into action twice to ensure the visitors went in level at half-time.
Janes felt his side were up against a disciplined opponent but believed they should have made their first-half dominance count.
"Cribbs sat in a very defensive shape with numbers behind the ball and full credit to them because every player stuck to their script," he said.
"We had to be patient and play with intensity.
We got into some really good areas but were wasteful in wide positions and when we entered their box.
We created an unbelievable chance and didn't take it.
If we score that, the game looks different."
The hosts took the lead just three minutes after the restart when a Westfields mistake in possession allowed Cribbs to break, with Joe Davies scoring after Gwynne had saved the initial effort.
Janes was particularly frustrated by the goal and his side's decision-making.
"We gave the ball away cheaply two times before the goal and got away with it.
Then we turned it over a third time and got punished," he said.
Westfields were reduced to 10 men when Mike McGrath was sent off, but they continued to press and were rewarded when Ben Tilbury converted a 77th-minute penalty after Will Dallaway was fouled.
Despite late chances for Jamie Clark and Dan Cottrill, Westfields could not find a winner.
"The only positive I can take is that we didn't lose," added Janes.
"We created so many chances but simply weren't good enough in front of goal and it has cost us.
If you don't take your moments, you get punished."
