HEREFORD Taekwondo Club came away with six medals from the Midlands Championships held at Kettering.

Over 800 competitors took part in the first tournament of the year which consisted of patterns, sparring and power events.

A small team of five students from Hereford Taekwondo Club took up the challenge and came away with three golds, two silvers and a bronze.

Daniel Evans, who after winning the Junior World Championships in July, competed in his first adult event, coming away with a convincing gold in sparring.

Stefan Dragomir won gold in tag teams and bronze sparring, while Chris Chalmers won gold in patterns.

Coming away with silver medals in sparring and tag teams was Jonah Stone-Fewings.
