- The Bulls played out a 2-2 draw with King’s Lynn Town in their opening game of the season when striker Jason Cowley returned from injury and scored the equaliser.
- Darlington had a disappointing end to last season seeing their play-off hopes dashed on their way to a 10th place finish.
