KINGTON scored twice in the second half to secure a 2-0 home win against Bishop’s Castle in the KBS League.
The hosts had a high number of goal attempts in the first half but Castle defended strongly.
Karen Stephens put Kington ahead after the break before Castle responded strongly and goalkeeper Helen Simcock made some great saves.
Kington's captain Karon Jones defended well which provided an attacking platform for Jenny Layton and player-of-the-match Emma Powell.
Sian Morgan completed the scoring with Kington’s second goal with a well-struck shot from a short corner.
