Hereford United Youth 0 Bournemouth 1 A GOAL in the first minute of the second half sentenced Hereford to a narrow defeat in their final match in the Puma Youth Alliance Cup.
Hereford created the first opportunity in the 13th minute when a Jimmy Moreton shot was easily saved by the Bournemouth goalkeeper.
The best chance of the opening half fell to Chris Freddi who failed to beat the visiting goalkeeper, while Tyler Weir raced clear before scuffing his left-foot shot wide.
The second period was only 20 seconds old when the Cherries broke the deadlock after a long ball caught out the dependable Ashley Stubbs.
Stubbs was unsighted by the sun and the visiting skipper latched on to the ball to fire past Liam Brewer.
