Coventry Ladies 3 Phoenix Ladies 3 A HAT-trick by Emily Gilbert earned Phoenix a point against West Midlands Regional Women's League Division 1 South leaders Coventry.

The powerful home side took an early lead but the hard-working Gilbert pounced to level when the Coventry goalkeeper dropped a Charlotte Criddle long ball.

Coventry benefited from a lapse in Phoenix's concentration when they scored straight from the kick-off and then extended their lead before the interval.

Phoenix pushed forward after the break in an attempt to get something from the game and pulled a goal back when Gilbert glanced in a deft header from a Leya Latham cross.

Gilbert competed her treble by firing in the rebound when the Coventry goalkeeper failed to Criddle shot.

Phoenix under-15s stay top of the Mercian League after Rebecca Panniers scored eight times in a 10-1 win over Bromsgrove Girls. Rebecca Wadelin scored the other two.

Phoenix under-16 suffered their first league defeat of the season in the Central Warwickshire League when they went down 2-1 at home to Coventry City.

Phoenix, who only had eight players on the field for much of the match, led through Tash Merris' goal before the visitors made their numerical superiority count.

Pershore Town Ladies 0 Leominster Town Ladies 4 INSPIRED by Vicky Roberts, Leominster turned in a much better performance and ran out comfortable winners at Pershore in the Kidderminster Women's County League.

Katie Evans and Lucy Harding scored a goal apiece in each half.

Prolific goal-scorer Larni Williams made it 20 goals in just three games when she netted eight goals to lead Leominster Girls to a 9-1 win over Ross Rockets in the Herefordshire Girls under-14 League.
