IN the wake of Graham Turner and Joan Fennessy’s decision to leave the club, another long-standing board member has decided to stand down.

Hugh Brooks will be leaving the board room after a decade of service.

“After 10 years, this seemed a good moment to make a clean break,”

he said.

An accountant, Brooks made an important contribution to the fourstrong board as Hereford returned six consecutive profits - an extraordinary feat at any level of football.

His departure means that only Grenville Smith MBE remains of Turner’s board to serve alongside chairman David Keyte and vice-chairman Tim Russon.
