HEREFORD sailor Jessica Annett finished sixth at the Liberty Welsh Topper Championship.
The Aylestone School pupil was the top-placed regional squad sailor after beating five Welsh national squad members.
She finished behind sailors who were all Great Britain national squad members.
Jessica was among 35 young sailors who converged for a weekend of competition at Llandegfedd Reservoir near Newport.
She was placed fourth overnight after third and fourth placed finishes in two of four races on the opening day.
The Llangorse Sailing Club member dropped to sixth when, in breezy conditions on the second day, she finished eighth and ninth.
Jessica has been sailing for only two years and is grateful to all the instructors at the club for their time and input.
She will next be representing Llangorse and Aylestone School in the Welsh Clubs and School Championships at Mumbles Yacht Club.
She will be teaming up with Chloe Shapton, a student at Bishopston Comprehensive in Swansea.
