Hereford Triathlon Club´s Nicola Goodwin brought home a silver medal at the European Long Course Age Group Championships in Vitoria, Spain.
The 36-year-old finished the 4km open water swim, 120km bike and 30km run in 7 hours and 57 minutes to take second place in the 35 to 39 age group.
She was the sixth woman overall in the race.
Despite the heat and blustery wind, it was a good day for all four members of Hereford Triathlon Club who qualified for the race in Northern Spain.
Ian Rivers finished 9th in the 40 to 44 age category in 7:23, Jon Tetley finished in 7:28 in the 30 to 34 age group and Claire Hebblethwaite was 4th in the 30 to 34 women´s age group in 8:44.
Goodwin, Rivers and Hebblethwaite will now prepare for the World Long Course Age Group Championships in Germany on August 1.
