TWO new clubs have joined the Hereford Times Herefordshire Football League for the new season.

Former Pegasus Juniors’ manager Paul Mann is running Mercia Athletic who will be competing in Division 1.

Sinkums, who have been playing their football on a Sunday, make their first tilt at Saturday action. They have been placed in Division 3.

There are also new teams from Bartestree and Orleton Colts.

However, Hay St Mary’s, Toros Reserves and Leintwardine Colts have withdrawn from the league which has maintained its 49-team quota.

The main league officials were re-elected at the annual general meeting where it was revealed a small profit of £302.71 had been made over the past 12 months.

The League Shield between Leominster Town and Ewyas Harold will be on August 25 at a venue to be confirmed.

The Premier Division season gets under way on August 28, with the three other sections starting on September 4.
