Jennie Cole reaches her second final of season
JENNIE Cole (pictured) reached her second final of the season when Brimfield bowlers contested the finals of the Albert Duval Cup.
This is a two-wood drawn pairs competition over 15 ends.
Cole and Archie Vaughan had a comfortable win in the first round over Mike Owen and Chris Wait, and then beat Josie Ward and Tony Pike in similar style in the semi-finals.
In the other half of the draw, Helen Skinner and Maurice Bassett just managed to edge out Barbara Griffiths and Doug Turner before going on to beat Hubert Wall and Robert Smith convincingly.
The competition will reach its climax on finals day on Sunday, August 15.
