ROSS Rowing Club amassed 13 wins over two days at the Bewdley Regatta.

The junior academy notched up eight victories with the men’s squad bagging five wins.

The men’s Immediate 1 crew of Paul Carpenter, Phil Davies, Steve Randall, Rolland Robinson and cox Morgan Baynham Williams won on the Saturday.

Elle Blackwood, who rowed in Wj15 singles, secured an impressive victory over the 800m course.

On the Sunday the junior academy were upstaged by the men’s Vet crew of Jeremy Picton Turbervill, Graham Watling, Dave Sykes, Paul Brodholt and cox Geene Watling. Competing in the open immediate coxed fours, the veterans raced against much younger crews and emerged victorious. They worked through three rounds before beating a strong Stourport crew in the final. The veterans added to this victory by beating a Bewdley crew in the final of their Veteran event.

Chris Jones and Borris Darcy, also from the men’s squad, were successful in immediate 3 double sculls. Steve Randall and Phil Davies won in their open coxless pairs event. For the juniors, Johan Lai continued his excellent form by winning the J12 single sculls and he teamed up with Joel Bullock to win J13 double sculls.

Jess Crossman won the Wj12 singles and joined forces with Olivia Baynham Williams, Megan Jephcote and Alice Reynolds to win Wj12 coxed Quads (George Probert was coxing). In j12 double sculls, Nick Burden and Probert were successful. Alice and Jess Boon triumphed in the in Wj11 double sculls. Ross won the wj12 double sculls through Livi and Megan Jephcote.
