LUCTONIANS booked their place in the second round of the EDF Energy National Trophy after a 25-13 win over Kettering at Mortimer Park today (Saturday).
However, there was disappointment for Hereford who lost 30-10 at home to higher-graded Fylde at Wyeside in their first-round tie.
Ledbury romped into the third round of the EDF Energy Senior Vase after an emphatic 50-0 home victory over Leek.
Ledbury were 14-0 in front at the interval and then dominated the second half to run out comfortable winners.
There was also joy for Bromyard who pipped Yardley & District, 18-17, at home in the third round (Midlands) of the EDF Energy Junior Vase.
