A FAILURE to turn pressure into goals proved costly as Tenbury went down 3-0 in their opening Midlands League fixture at Bridgnorth.

Tenbury started brightly but failed to convert any of their chances. Lindsey Aldridge was in good form in the Tenbury defence but she was unable to prevent the home side opening up a two-goal lead from a short corner and a penalty flick.

Tenbury tried hard to find a way back into the match, the closest they came was when Tina Bickley struck a post.

With Tenbury pushing forward, desperately looking for a way back into the game, it came as no real surprise when they were caught on the break and the home side scored a third goal.
