HEREFORD loanee Harrison Iwunze scored his third goal in as many matches as the Bulls record an impressive 3-0 win at Worksop Town.

The Notts County loanee gave the Bulls a 34th minute lead on his first start for the club, before late goals from Luke Spokes and Danny Waldron sealed the points.

A frustrated Worksop side ended the match with 10 men as the Bulls comfortably sealed a third consecutive victory.

Aaron Downes’ side came into the game following home wins against Radcliffe and Marine, and were looking to avenge their opening day defeat at Buxton.

Iwunze made an impact from the outset by causing the hosts problems before Spokes fed Billy Phillips whose effort was deflected.

Theo Richardson was called into action at the opposite end as Whitham’s cross deflected into the path of Redford whose volley produced an excellent save.

Bulls skipper Kam Kandola is facing a suspension following his red card against Radcliffe on Tuesday night.

The saw his effort from 25 yards out fly just wide of the Worksop goal as the game remained level.

Another Bulls loanee Harry Tustin was in the thick of the action on the half-hour mark as the youngster headed Aaron Skinner’s cross wide.

Hereford were ahead on 34 minutes when a quickly taken free-kick released Luke Spokes who found Harrison Iwunze to score.

Four minutes later Aaron Downes’ side almost doubled their lead as Cawley Cox saw his chipped effort fly wide and Iwunze had an effort saved.

Richardson was fundamental in the Bulls’ victory and on 58 minutes he tipped Sam Essien's effort over the bar.

The Bulls goalkeeper kept his side ahead again five minutes later to deny Lewis Whitham’s curling effort.

Worksop were having their best spell of the game and Aleksandra Starcenko saw his long-range shot palmed away by Richardson.

Eight minutes from time momentum swung when the home side were reduced to 10 men after Starcenko kicked the ball frustratedly into the Hereford fans.

The points were sealed with a second Hereford goal on 87 minutes as substitute Jordan Williamson fed through Stokes to beat the goalkeeper.

As he did in the Radcliffe win four days earlier fellow Bulls substitute Danny Waldron raced clear of the home defence and made it 3-0 in injury-time.

Following the win Bulls boss Downes praised his side for coming through a difficult spell in the match.

He said: “They changed their shape and matched us up (in the second half.

“Then from our point of view it was a case of sticking in and competing.

“They have got good energy, they get around and land on second balls, and then they can hurt you.

“We had to wrestle the game back in that second half. It became very bitty and a real fight. I thought we stood up to that. That was a real test of our strength because we've had some real free-flowing football in the last two games at home.”
