WESTFIELDS were upstaged by a lowly Hellenic League side for the second consecutive week when they fell to a 4-0 defeat at Highworth Town.
Danny Moon’s side were held to a 1-1 draw with Cribbs last week and struggled against a lively Highworth side in Swindon.
However, Fields could have been in front but for a brilliant save by Ollie Gargett who kept out a stinging drive from Luke Postle early on.
The home side went ahead in the 15 minute when Westfields defender Pat Wood was penalised for a foul and when the ball came into the box from the free-kick it was swept home by Liam Haines.
Fields hit back and both Bailey Fuller and Arwyn Walby had shots charged down.
However, Highworth doubled their lead after a poor clearance by goalkeeper Jack Oxenham only found Ollie Stevenson who seized on the chance to make it 2-0.
Highworth again took advantage of poor passing after the break and James Griffiths put his side 3-0 up from close range after Oxenham had parried a close range shot .
Westfields brought on new signing Sirdic Grant, along with fellow substitutes Archie Muirhead and Jamie Clark which added impetus for the visitors.
That was until the last minute when Archie Muirhead brought down Ollie Stevenson in the penalty area and Bailey Gallagher netted to complete the win.
Next Saturday, Westfields entertain Royal Wootton Bassett Town at allpay.park 3pm in a Hellenic League Premier Division fixture.
Meanwhile, Hereford Pegasus suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Corsham Town in the same division.
Rory Thompson had given Peggy a first half lead, only for the visitors to strike back through Lewis Gilchrist and Nick McCootie.
