HEREFORD Pegasus Ladies concluded their West Midlands Regional Women's League First Division (South) campaign with a dramatic 3-2 victory over Worcester City Development thanks to Harriet Adams’ late winner.

Following a goalless opening 45 minutes, for this end of season encounter played largely in the rain, it was the hosts who opened the scoring when Adams found the back of the net with a neatly taken close-range volley from a 57th minute corner.

Worcester City were back on level terms five minutes later minutes courtesy of Mia Badland's shot over the head of goalkeeper Katie Wood from the edge of the penalty area.

The visitors turned the match around in the 72nd minute following Tinny Conway's close-range header following an inviting cross delivered from out on the right flank after Worcester City had caught their hosts on the break.

Pegasus drew level when Sam Baker found the back of the net from the edge of the penalty area, following a neat individual piece of skill, after an 85th minute corner was only partially cleared by the visitors.

The Reds secured a dramatic win three minutes later when Adams scored her second goal of the evening after lifting her 20-yard shot into the top corner of Lottie Wilson's goal to complete the season on a winning note.

The victory came just days after Pegasus fought out a 3-3 draw against Leamington Lions Ladies as Adams was again on the score sheet along with Chelsey Snead and Roxana Dinsecu.

In a busy end to the season Pegasus also faced a trip to Leamington Lions seven days earlier when a Ella Ashley brace sent the Herefordshire side to a 2-0 defeat.

The results meant that Hereford Pegasus finished in fourth position in the table following their promotion from the Midwest Counties League last summer.
