SIX young athletes represented Herefordshire at the Inter Counties Cross Country Championships at Wollaton Park in Nottingham.
The sun shone and it was much dryer underfoot than expected, perfect conditions for racing and brilliant running from them all.
The athletes were Ruben Mabberley, Fred Tyler, Saffi Reid, Isabel North, Lucy Tetley and Harry Lewis. They were aided by team manager Bronwen Tyler-Jones who helped co-ordinate team green.
The Herefordshire and Borders Cross Country Winter Series event recently concluded recently at Bockleton.
The junior cross country award winners were: Under 11 girls - Helena Cooke, Madison Swinton & Cassidy Jones.
Under 11 boys - Harrison Salkeld, Thomas Exton & Sebastian Woodall.
Under 13 girls - Martha Bakewell, Amy Hinton & Saffi Reid.
Under 13 boys - Henry Lewis, Inyan Emanuel Farrant & Sebastian Farrant
Under 15 girls - Isabel North, Lucy Tetley & Natalie Norris.
Under 15 boys - James Cooke, Fred Tyler & Ruben Mabberley.
