A TEAM of pupils from St Mary’s High School proved their swimming talents at the English Schools Swimming Association national finals.

The team came seventh in the medley relay and were one of only a few state schools that made the finals.

They qualified for the finals after 2,099 teams from over 300 schools participated in the qualifying round in 20 separate galas across the country.

The Secondary Schools Team Relay Championships is the longest running championship series organised by the ESSA.
