A HEREFORDSHIRE younger came away with gold when he competed against mountain bikers from across the country.

Hector Harrison, from Norton Wood, won gold at this year’s Malverns Classic Mountain Bike Festival at Eastnor Castle, near Ledbury.

His twin brother Monty finished three seconds behind in the ripper’s downhill race despite suffering a chain malfunction.

Malverns Classic Mountain Bike Festival offers everything a mountain biker could possibly wish for including stalls, demonstrations and plenty of mountain bike stars including Jono and Matt Jones.
