- FT: Blyth Spartans 2 (Aitken, Liddle) Hereford 1 (Cowley). Attendance: 865.
- A quiet, windswept half came to life 10 minutes before half-time when Lewis Knight's clever short corner came back out and then back in to bamboozle the Hereford backline with substitute Charlie Aitken firing through the crowd to net.
- Jason Cowley levelled six minutes later, latching onto a ball from Lassana Mendes before isolating his man and firing a crisp shot past keeper Alex Mitchell.
- Livewire Cowley had to come off at half-time and Blyth started the second half well with Michael Liddle on hand to rifle home after being found by Rhys Evans eight minutes after the restart.
- Kyle Howkins hit the post for the Bulls from a corner shortly after and Alex Babos was denied at point-blank range by Mitchell late in the day as Hereford went for it but they paid the price for not quite having enough punch in the final third.
- Blyth: Mitchell, Evans, Liddle, Clark, Cousin-Dawson, Knight, Hickey, Hooper, Forbes, Deverdicks, McGowan
- Subs: Aitken, Shaw, Oliver, Hogan, Arnison
