HEREFORD caused a huge upset in the National League North by running out 3-1 winners at title hopefuls AFC Fylde.
Fylde had only lost twice at home in the league this season before Hereford’s visit and are were league leaders.
However, Ryan McLean capitalised on a goalkeeping blunder to open the scoring before second half goals from Aaron Amadi-Holloway and Tyrone Barnett completed the win.
It was a complete turnaround in fortunes after Hereford were comfortably beaten 2-0 at home to Curzon Ashton on Saturday.
“It’s football, it’s what happens on the night and anything can happen,” said Hereford’s second goal scorer Aaron Amadi-Holloway.
“An early goal makes a huge difference compared to Saturday. It’s just the way it is. You can be amazing one week and awful the next. You’ve just got to pick yourself up and go again.”
