KINGTON Town produced an impressive performance to please their home fans as they dented the title challenge of Ledbury Town in the Zzoomm Herefordshire Football League Premier Division.

Travelling across Herefordshire to Mill Street the table toppers Ledbury looked to continue their journey in the number one spot.

However, it was the home side that put in an impressive performance to win the match 3-1, Dan Pugh, Mike Ruckledge and Elliot Williams with the goals that meant alongside results elsewhere Ledbury drop to second in the league and blew the title race wide open.

Hereford Pegasus Reserves now sit in first place after a comfortable 6-1 victory over Welland, while Sporting Club Inkberrow are still very much in the race as they have games in hand.

Saturday saw the Worcestershire based club visit Wellington Rangers and after a tightly fought contest came away with a 2-1 victory.

In Division One it is Lads Club Reserves, Ewyas Harold and Shobdon all competing for the title with the latter two having games in hand to catch their rivals.

However, both sides failed to keep ground this past weekend allowing Lads Club to push further ahead.

While Lads Club Reserves recorded a sound 7-0 victory thanks to a Josh Hyde hat-trick and four other scores.

Shobdon, high off their County Cup semi-final win last week, travelled to Bartestree and fell to a Harry Gwynne goal in a 1-0 defeat.

Ewyas Harold suffered a similar score line against Hereford Pegasus Colts who now take over second spot in the division.

Division Two continues to be a two-horse race with Leominster Town and Wellington Colts remaining in their good form beating Ledbury Town Swifts and Tenbury United Colts respectively.

Connor Bufton bagged a brace to become the divisions joint top scorer with Noah Wickham adding a third to secure an away win for the Leominster team making it four wins in a row.
