HEREFORD have placed one foot firmly in the Midlands 2 West play-offs after a 13-11 win at nearest rivals Walsall.
The Wyesiders became the first side to defeat Walsall on home territory this season to move two points clear of the West Midlands club.
And Hereford are now just a point off top spot after leaders Malvern went down 16-0 at Bromsgrove.
Hereford have two games remaining, a visit from Stratford and a trip to in-form Bromsgrove on the season's final day.
