HEREFORD manager Josh Gowling says that the trialist striker who scored a hat-trick in six minutes at Coalville Town is ruthless.

“He’s been with us from the first or second week of pre-season so he knows what I expect of him and the work-rate we expect,” said Gowling.

“He’s got better. When he first came in he didn’t understand how we do things, he’s progressed and done better week in and week out.

“Sometimes for a forward player it’s good to watch and see where those gaps appear. He gets in the box and wants to score goals.

“He has got a hunger to score and did that today. He scored 16 goals last season at the club he was at.

“He has give lads competition now. We’ve got some decent front players in already, we’ll have a chat with him but he’s done pretty well.

“Ryan and Miles are very direct and he probably gets in different areas. Where as Ryan and Miles will try and create more he’s a bit more ruthless and wants to score goals.

“They are probably selfish runs to score goals, that’s what strikers are.”
