HEREFORD Hockey Club members received trophies at their end of season awards recently.

The Hereford Racecourse side had were celebrating their 125th anniversary.

This season also saw their men’s first team win the Cotswold Division Two League.

Matt Stollery was the men’s top scorer while Will Redway-Thomas was voted the first team’s players’ player of the season.

Tom Marchant won the captain’s player of the season while John Edwards was young player of the year.

From the men’s second team Felix Bowley was named players’ player of the season.

In the women’s side Cher Williams took the honour of being the top goal scorer.

Meanwhile, Ellie Westoby was the women’s first team’s players’ player of the season.

In the second team Lucy Pugh was named captain’s player of the year while Izzy Fleet was named players’ player.

There was an additional award for Kriss Saunders who was named clubperson of the year.

Hereford Hockey Club are holding summer social mixed hockey sessions for new and existing members.

They will be taking place on June 1, July 6 and August 3 with development ages between 6pm and 7pm followed by adults 7pm until 8pm.

Both of these sessions will take place at Hereford Leisure Centre.

The hockey season has now finished and regular Wednesday hockey training will return in September.
