A BUDDING golf star has been crowned under-11 Welsh champion.

Ruben Tisdale plays at Leominster Golf Club and has been quickly improving his game.

Tisdale started by having golf lessons with professional golfer Garry Morgan at the Grove Leominster.

The budding golf star went back to Leominster to play his golf under the wing of Andy Merrick and progressed his handicap.

Tisdale plays in the Wednesday night competition and is now regular playing in the men’s competitions on the weekend.

The youngster qualified to play in the aged 11 to 12 category at Celtic Manor which he won with three over par.
