HEREFORD manager Josh Gowling said that the referee would have considered calling their 2-0 win over Merstham off in the FA Cup had the hosts complained about the section of waterlogged pitch.

The Bulls progressed to the fourth qualifying round thanks to goals from Tom Owen-Evans and Harry Pinchard in a dominant display.
Talking to Keith Hall after the win Gowling said he was pleased that his side were patient while creating a lot of chances before getting the opening goal late in the first half.
After talking to the referee after the game Gowling said had Merstham complained about the waterlogged centre of the pitch then the game could have been called off.
