HEREFORD manager Josh Gowling says that referees need to “understand the game because it’s costing us points”.
Referee Thomas Kirk awarded Leamington a controversial free-kick in the first half which Jack Edwards scored from.

“I’m trying to be polite to the referee, but some of the decisions today,” said Gowling talking to Keith Hall.
“The free-kick, he just fell over. I don’t know what he wants the players to do and then they score from the free-kick.
“Yes we need to defend it better but it’s not a free-kick. They need to understand the game because it’s costing us points.”
