Shawbury 4 Wellington 4 A LATE strike from Kenny Styles earned Wellington an important point in an eight-goal thriller against Shawbury in the Sport Italia West Midlands League Premier Division.

Wellington got off to a flying start, going two goals up within the first five minutes.

Aaron Morgan opened the scoring after chasing down a back pass, the Shawbury keeper kicked the ball straight at him and it rebounded off him rolling into the back of the net.

Two minutes later and they were two goals up after Morgan found Matt Williams who rounded the keeper and slotted the ball into the corner.

The home side quickly hit back, firstly scoring from a corner and then equalizing from the penalty spot after Dominic Heath had been tripped.

Wellington responded to this with Dale Withers rising high at a corner to fire them back in front.

A spell of Wellington pressure before half time saw a penalty appeal turned down and a Styles shot blocked as the teams went in 2-3.

The second half saw Shawbury raise their game and put Wellington under severe pressure.

Marc Priday made some good saves in the Wellington goal before Shawbury eventually broke through in the 70th minute with the leveller.

Just a minute later they added a fourth goal, which looked like being the winner.

However, a minute from time, good work by Scott Walker who tackled back and then got a cross into the box, gave Styles the chance which he drilled home to level the scores.
