GOLFER Brad Robinson was crowned men’s Herefordshire County Championship which was held at the South Herefordshire GC
Host club player Robinson had gross scores of 82+68 for a total of 150 over the 36 holes.
His second round of 68 is a new course record beating the previous record of 70 since 2013.
In second place was Morgan Radziejowski (Herefordshire) with 79+73=152 and in third place Tom Shotton (St/ Herefordshire) 77+75= 152 and fourth James Platford (Burghill Valley) 154.
The best nett over the 36 holes was Danny White (Kington) 146.
Second place was Connor Millin (Herefordshire) 146, third was Webber Emile (St/ Herefordshire) 149 and Jack Castle (Leominster) 149 was fourth.
The Herefordshire County Seniors held their championship at Alexander Park GC where Steve Wallbank (Ross-on Wye) retained the cup he won in 2019 when it was last played.
His score of 81 gross was enough to put Paul Stone( St/ Herefordshire) into second place with 83 beating Tim Hollingworth (Alexander Park) on the back nine to finish third.
The best nett players all from the home club was first Clive Nield 92-25-67, second Jim Bland 88-17-71 and third Alan Shakesheff 94-20-74.
The team prize was won by Ross-on-Wye.
The Herefordshire GC hosted the Senior’s County Mixed Tri-Match with Shropshire and Worcestershire where the Herefordshire team won the match.
