HEREFORD FC have announced the re-signing of both player/coach Yan Klukowski and defender George Forsyth.

Klukowski, aged 34, played in midfield and defence for the Bulls last season along with having a coaching role within the squad.

His new deal will see Klukowski's coaching responsibilities within the club increase.

“Although his first-team opportunities were limited last season, Yan has been a key member of the coaching staff,” said Hereford manager Josh Gowling.

“He drives the environment around the dressing room and he is someone who I respect greatly.

His knowledge and experience is incredibly valuable to us, and he has a big influence on the things we do day to day on the training ground.

“On the pitch, Yan still has a lot to offer us, when called upon last season he did extremely well in a number of positions and his playing role will still very much be a priority this season.”

Forsyth, aged 23, arrived at Edgar Street in December from Halesowen Town.

Forsyth previously played for Worcester City and earned an England C cap at Edgar Street.

Shortly after signing the league season was curtailed and Forsyth was cup tied for the FA Trophy.

“Fozzy was unlucky last season,” said Gowling.

"The season was curtailed just after he joined, and then having already played in the FA Trophy for his previous club, he was unavailable for us in that competition.

“However, he’s stayed fully focussed and has been a real asset to the team in training with his attitude and drive. "He’s very comfortable in possession of the ball and at 23 he is someone who I feel still has plenty of time to develop as a player and really push on.”
