HEREFORD FC have made their first summer signing with Mitch Hancox joining the side.

Hancox is a left-sided player joining from Vanarama National League side, Solihull Moors.

Thw 27-year-old, from Solihull, started his career at Birmingham City and has also played for Macclesfield Town.

Bulls boss, Josh Gowling said: “Mitch is a very dynamic player, attacking and exciting to watch. His main position is left-back but he can play anywhere down the left-hand side.

“Having played in the National League, he brings us some great experience as well as a winning mentality to the squad.”

Talking about his deal, Mitch said: “I met the gaffer the other week and liked what he had to say. It’s an ambitious club and everyone wants to get back to where we Hereford United were before. I’ve played here before so I know it’s a great set up.

“I’m really glad to have got the deal done and I’m looking forward to getting into pre-season training next month.”

Mitch joins Tom Owen-Evans, Luke Haines, Jared Hodgkiss and Ryan Lloyd in having agreed deals for next season
