- ROLLING MATCH REPORT
- An even opening 15 minutes saw Kyle Finn have two efforts off-target for Hereford while Will Goodwin miss-timed his volley inside the box inside the opposite box.
- With their first effort of the game Hereford took the lead on 22 minutes when Lenell John-Lewis broke down the right on a counter-attack before squaring for Tom Owen-Evans to tap home.
- Former Bulls trialist Declan Weeks had a chance to respond riding one challenge before blazing over.
- Dan Jones showed his danger crossing from the left during the first half.
- On 38 minutes the Bulls capitalised and Jones' cross was knocked down for Owen-Evans to slide home the second of the evening.
- Just moments before the break a cross was headed back out and Weeks fired a rocket of an effort home.
- After the break Bulls goalkeeper Paul White will have the blame for handing Chester the lead.
- Firstly Chester were level on 49 minutes when White looked to have collected a soft Will Goodwin header only to see it squirm it out of his arms and into the path of striker Danny Elliott to tap home the equaliser.
- Three minutes later White had his head back in his hands when his punch from a Weeks corner landed in the Bulls net.
- Chester made it 4-2 on 63 minutes when John Johnston unmarked outside the box rifled his effort into the net.
- However, with 17 minutes remaining Hereford pulled a goal back with Kennedy Digie claiming the goal through a crowd of bodies.
- Finn would have leveled the tie moments later but saw his effort plucked out of the top corner by goalkeeper Gray.
- However, a fifth Chester goal killed the game off when a free-kick found Danny Livesay unmarked at the back post to settle the tie.
