The Bulls are awaiting the outcome of the three Covid-19 tests and expected the outcome in the next 48 hours.

Andrew Graham, chairman of Hereford FC said: “As frustrating as this is to have this happen at such a late hour before a match, it is impossible to predict when someone is going to start to feel unwell.

“As soon as we were made aware, our priority was that the correct procedure was followed to ensure the safety and welfare, of staff and players, of both our own club and the host club.

“We are monitoring the situation while we await the test results.”

Hereford FC play in the National League North which is classed as ‘elite sport’ and the club has confirmed that the national Government lockdown will not affect their scheduled fixtures.

Earlier today Kettering Town announced that their game with Hereford on Saturday had been postponed.
