HEREFORD FC have added powerful defender Kennedy Digie to their squad ahead of tomorrow's season opener.

The 23-year-old, former Kidderminster Harriers and Guiseley defender, who can also play centre midfield, signed after impressing on trial this pre-season.

"I already know the gaffer, I came through the youth team at Kidderminster and 'Gowls' was there for a while," Digie told the club's official website.

Hereford Times:

"When I came through he helped me a lot, he's definitely someone who I want to, and I'm looking forward to playing under.

"It's a massive club, I've seen the back to back promotions, I've seen what they've done and hopefully that can carry on." Bulls manager Josh Gowling coached Digie as a youngster at Kidderminster Harriers.

"Kennedy was one of the players who came through the youth team when I was a coach at Kidderminster."

Digie can also play centre midfield and provide a powerful threat going forward.

Hereford Times:

"He came in for the TNS game, then came back again and he's done well," added Gowling.

"He's great around the lads, he's fitted in really well. "He can play centre-half and central midfield.

"He's a big powerful lad and has got a great future. As long as he keeps progressing, keeps listening, keeps working hard then I think he's got what it takes to play higher."
