TEENAGER Rhys Davies has refused an offer to stay with Hereford FC for another season.

The 19-year-old defender was signed by Hereford last summer making one start and one substitute appearance last season.

Writing on Facebook, Davies said: "I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone at Hereford FC all the best for the coming season and beyond.

"I really appreciate being offered another year at HFC, but it was a massive decision as well as a very difficult one, to decide this next season was not to be at Edgar Street and to take up a different challenge.

"HUFC and HFC are so close to my heart as a supporter and my football development and I really do hope to return one day.

"Best wishes to a fantastic new management team, board, volunteers and the best fans in non-league football."
