HEREFORD Lads Club Ladies waltzed their way through into the HFA Women's County Cup final where they will meet Hereford FC Women.

Roxana Dinescu scored a brace as Lads Club triumph 5-0 against Penybont United in Sunday's semi-final while further goals came via Emily Morgan, Sarah Bishop and Amy Bradlley.

"We've never played Penybont before or seen them play so it was good to play somebody different and not knowing what standard they were at," said Lads Club Ladies manager Marcus Jenkins.

"To be fair to them in the first 15 to 20 minutes they certainly put up a good game and it looked interesting.

"Once we settled into it and got our first goal from captain Emily Morgan we settled down. That's a normal thing for us to settle down once we score and for the rest of the game we were quite comfortable and had control.

"There was some really nice balls and good combination play. All credit to the Penybont goalkeeper as it could have been 10-0 if it wasn't for her.

"It was a good game and nice to see our ladies really enjoying themselves."

In the final Lads Club they will face a Hereford FC Women's side who are also in fine form and took an 8-0 win over Welland Ladies First in the league at the weekend.

Katie Young was the hat-trick hero while Chloe Brown netted a brace while Jessica Kenny, Erin Cooke and Bethany Cole also found the net.

"We are looking forward to the final against Hereford and it's good for women's football in the county to have two even teams," added Jenkins.

"To be fair to Hereford they have got a good team as have we. That's what makes it a good game and that's what we want.

"It will be interesting to see where the game is played and it would be nice to see it at Edgar Street."
