BROMYARD Cricket Club celebrated what is thought to be the best season in the club's history at their annual general meeting and prize presentation recently.

The club's first team won the Worcestershire League Division One, and promotion back to the top flight of Worcestershire cricket after four years.

Meanwhile, the seconds finished third in WCL Division Seven and also gained promotion.

Not to be outdone the evening league side pulled off a Worcester league and cup double for good measure.

After a second stint of four years as chairman Clive Brazier stepped down to become president, with long-serving member Luke Johnston taking over as chairman.

Continuing in their previous roles are: Graham Godsall (vice-chairman), Sue Reece (secretary and treasurer) Edd Oliver (press officer, website administrator and league delegate), Ian Bullock (junior co-ordinator), Will Yarnold (fundraising and sponsorship officer), Matt Bullock (club Captain), Luke Johnston (welfare officer) and Jeff Bayliss (groundsman)

The captains and vice-captains of the teams will all be finalised at a later date.

Bromyard then celebrated the 2019 season at their annual dinner in November, with around 40 players and supporters gathering in the function room at Flaggoners Green.

The prize winners were: Ian Bullock (firsts batting), Zahid Saeed (firsts bowling), Martin Reece-Pitt (seconds batting), Ed Reece (seconds bowling), Nathanael Newitt (thirds batting), James Brown (thirds bowling), Dave Taylor (Catching Cup), Max Rowley (best away performance), Clive Brazier (Clubman of the Year), Sue Reece (Fill It Up Cup), Nathanael Newitt (Six Hitting Cup), Jack Barrett (most promising young player), James Godsall (most improved young player) Dave Taylor (Finger Trophy).
