COUNTY champion Callum Treasurer once again collected the honours when he won the Hereford Squash Tennis and Racketball Centre Men's Singles finals last weekend.

The tennis championship finals followed a season of knockout matches.

In the hotly contested Men's Singles Treasurer played against Markus Dirnbacher, who has recently joined the club and gave his all to the match.

Treasurer is also the Herefordshire and Worcestershire County Men's Singles Champion 2019 and ran out winner.

The Ladies' Singles competition was won by Ema Krtilova, a teenager who had a challenge in the match with Anna Gajkowska.

Other finals played were the Mens Singles Plate, won by Mike Howard, who also played in two other finals.

The Men’s Doubles drew a crowd with Treasurer and Jasper Darke beating Mike Howard and Alex Lane.

There were many rapid- fire rallies with all the range of shots.

Fi Hanks and Rita Orr won the Ladies' Doubles Final (against Emma Griffiths and Mia Price) and Val Finney and Jill Lorkin won the Ladies' Doubles Plate Final in a long match going to a tie-break third set.

The Mixed Doubles final was a family affair.

Emma Griffiths with her brother Alex Lane beat her daughter beat Edie Griffiths partnering Mike Howard.

The third and fourth play-off was a close match won by Meg Bailey and Howard Townson, playing Pavel Kritl and daughter Ema.

The junior exhibition match was played by Thomas Griffiths, Harry Emmet, Sofie Glinos and Fikayo Orebiyi demonstrating style and skills to be admired. Emmet and Glinos have recently become County Champions in their age group.

Awards were also given: Dor Snow award- Merit Pariots; Bienve Fernandez Award- Jasper Darke;

Junior Boy Player of The Year- Tom Griffiths; Junior Girl Player of The Year- Fikayo Orebiyi.
