HEREFORD Pegasus marked the opening of their new 3G facility with a convincing 3-0 victory over Tytherington Rocks.

Kieron Slatter scored the first goal on the new pitch after 13 minutes before skipper Kyle Panniers doubled their lead three minutes later.

Slatter scored a second to complete the win before Gael Basana netted in reply for the visitors.

"A win is a win after our indifferent start to the season," said Pegasus' joint manager Dave Cadwallader.

"The surface will take some getting used to for the guys.

"We had a good start for the first 30 minutes and then took our foot off the gas.

"Eventually the game could have ended 6-3 if we had buried our chances.

"We didn't play our tempo so for a side not playing well and wining, that's a good sign.

"The pitch will certainly help the style of football Mick and myself want to play.

"Kyle (Panniers) came back on Tuesday and made a big difference to the team. Since having him back in we've won two from two so can't really complain.

"It's nice to have nearly a full squad available."

Elsewhere, Wellington made it four wins from four after a last minute Stuart Davies header gave them a 3-2 win over Cirencester Town Development.

Despite Paul Jones pulling Welly back to 1-1 from the penalty spot the visitors conceded again on 57 minutes.

However, Matthew Williams pulled them level again with eight minutes to play before Davies' late winner.

Welly sit a point behind table-toppers Lads Club, who continued their form with a 7-1 win over Bourton Rovers.

With four promotion spots this season Cadwallader hopes that all the county sides go up.

"It would be good for the county as a lot of people put a lot of time and effort in," he added.

"It's all positive and good for Herefordshire football, but it's early days and we have got a long way to go."
