    HEREFORD suffered an afternoon to forget after Chester put them to the sword and ran away with a 4-1 victory.
  • The Bulls failed to get to grips with their hosts and were two goals down by the break.
  • After half-time the rout continued as clinical Chester netted two more before Jordan Cullinane-Liburd pulled back a consolation goal.

  • However, Chester came within an inch of an opener when Hereford turned off from a short free-kick and Matty Hughes found an unmarked Gary Stopforth head, but he finds the bar before being blocked away.
  • On the 20th minute Chester were ahead after Matty Hughes shot was saved only for Akwasi Asante to fire home the rebound.
  • The gaps in the Hereford defence were exposed again on the 29th minute when Asante beat Josh Gowling in the air. He played in Anthony Dudley who took a touch before finding the bottom corner of the net.
  • Hereford looked to respond and Simeon Maye saw his effort saved before Mike Symons fired wide.
  • Bradley Ash should have pulled a goal back with a free header after rising highest, but put his effort wide.
  • It looked game over on the 52nd minute when Jackson opened up the Bulls defence before finding Asante to slide home.
  • Chester could have had a fourth but a Anthony Dudley's header at the front post sailed high and wide.
  • Substitute Danny Elliott did eventually make it four after rising highest to head home a floated Bradley Roberts cross.
  • It could have been five moments later as Bradley Jackson raced through on goal, only to be denied by the foot of Brandon Hall.
  • The Bulls responded with Tom Owen-Evans and Raheem Hanley both forcing smart saves.
  • With a minute left on the clock the Bulls did bundle an effort home through Jordan Cullinane-Liburd.
