COUNTY darts star Jim Williams clinched the England Open for the first time last weekend after a tough weekend of matches.
The 34-year-old who was a semi-finalist at the British Darts Organisation World Championships earlier this year has been on good form again this season.
However, Williams, from Shobdon, was pushed all the way in his pursuit of the English title last weekend.
Playing Wesley Harms in the semi-final Williams had to call on all his experience to run out 5-4 victor.
In the final Williams was superior eventually running out 6-1 victor over Wayne Warren.
